If you’ve never used CBD or Hemp products before, it can be daunting to start. There are so many products out there, and they all claim to be the best, the strongest, and the real deal.

Here we will show you how to identify if what you’ve got is what it claims to be.

We’ll also show examples of things to look out for when shopping for CBD, and things to avoid. Specifically we’ll discuss

First of all, if you want instant access to hundreds of quality, lab tested products sold by us, clickhere!

Red Flags to Watch Out for Concerning CBD Brands and Products!

Certificate Of Analysis (COA):A Certificate of Analysis (COA) is the certified result of a third-party lab analyzing a product. For CBD products, this is adocument from an accredited laboratory which shows the actual measured amount of various cannabinoids in a product.

It is important that this document be from athird-party accredited lab. Typically, at Revive CBD, we use a laboratory such asBotanacorin Denver. Their system is the only truly compliant hemp testing laboratory meeting cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices) and GLP (Good Laboratory Practices) requirements. This should give you the assurance that your products are being tested by professionals in avalidated facility, usingvalidated instrumentation, andvalidated methodologies.

Below is an example of an actual Certificate of Analysis from one of Revive CBD’s Products! We’ve pointed out things to check below. Use this as a guide in what to look for with your purchases!

Every Batch Should Be Tested!

CBD Manufacturers and any company selling CBD should send every batch for lab testing. How else could any company claim to have the upmost confidence in their products, its potency or purity? If every batch is not tested, it is possible that an error in manufacturing make it all the way to the end consumer. Therefore, it is important to check for dates and/or batch numbers on the document to confirm you are buying only those CBD products which current batch has been tested.

No Current Regulations or Industry Requirement to Provide COA’s

While it is definitely a trait of transparent and concerned companies, there is currently NO government regulations which require such certifications. There is NO industry requirement or standard for companies to have these tests conducted.

With this in mind, it is up to the consumer to do their due diligence in selecting only companies who not only have these third-party laboratory analyses done, but also publish their findings in a way that is easily accessible to all customers.

At Revive CBD, we have these results in our store AND on our website at (a clickable hyperlink is on each product’s page which will lead you to the current batch’s results)! Here is an example of that:

Certification of Analysis for Revive CBD Pet Tinctures

We suggest strongly that youNEVERbuy a product online or in any brick and mortar shop without first seeing for yourself the Certifications of Analysis for the batch you are actually considering.

Medical Claims:The Food and Drug Administration forbids ANY company from making claims of efficacy. The reasoning here is this: If a company makes a medical claim, they thereby define their product as a drug (meant to treat, cure or prevent any disease). That opens the company up to having to FIRST prove its products’ efficacy BEFORE they can sell it. If a product’s description, company’s website, or even their employees tell you their CBD product is going to fix your anxiety, eliminate your pain, get rid of cancer, you should RUN in the other direction.

Why? Because any company making such claims is not concerned with compliance in this matter and would likely not care about other important things such as Certifications of Analysis, Quality or even Potency! It shows a disregard for the intent behind the law, as well. That intent is to protect vulnerable consumers.# The Best CBD Doobies from JustCBD

You should look on the product and the company’s website for a FDA disclaimer that says “These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.” If this disclaimer is not present, be wary of what you are purchasing.

Products With Extreme Potencies (or insanely low prices):We see this often in our store. Customers coming in with a product that they said didn’t help, even though it’s “super strong” and “way cheaper” and once we see it we know why. roll on 350mg These products are just down right FAKE! How are we so sure do you ask? Here is a picture of a product one of our disappointed customers had tried, before making the switch to Revive CBD products for good!

As you can see these bottles are priced extremely low at $17.33 yet they claim to be 40,000mg of…something. Well therein lies the issue, a 1 ounce bottle contains 30ml of liquid which weighs approximately 30 grams or, 30,000mg. That means the total weight of the liquid in that bottle cannot be more than 30,000mg, yet the label claims it contains 40,000mg of what is implied to be CBD.THIS IS LITERALLY IMPOSSIBLE!

As you can see in the picture, the advertisement also makes medical claims on the right.

And where did we find this Product listed for sale? Why…Amazon, of course! While Amazon does NOT allow CBD products to be sold on their site, many dubious companies slip through the cracks. But this is true for many, if not most companies offering their products online.

There have been many studies in recent months and years in which “CBD” products were obtained and tested to examine the content and potency of some of these companies. The results are staggering. According toone of these studies from JAMA in 2017, over 73% of the 84 products tested were found to be mislabeled based ONLY on potency!

That indicates a HUGE problem exists when it comes to being able to trust any online company.(It is why Revive CBD offers such a vast amount of information and transparency about our products, their Certifications, Ingredients, etc.)

We, once again, strongly recommend that you NOT purchase from any site making claims or without current Certifications of Analysis proving their label claims.

How Revive CBD is Distinguishing our Brand:At Revive CBD, our Mission is a bit different. We realize that many of our customers begin their search for CBD when dealing with anxiety or pain. We have a passion for helping people in their most vulnerable times. That’s pretty much what guides our decisions, product offerings, and our interactions with customers.

It is because of this Mission that Revive CBD has made it our company’s policy to never offer a CBD Product without a Certification of Analysis from a third-party laboratory.

It is what guides us to NEVER sell products below their stated Potency.

It is even why we comply with NOT making medical claims.

We hope that you’ll find the relief you are searching for, and will assist by providing as much information about our products as you can find. We provide extraction methods (Supercritical CO2 Extraction), information about carrier oils in which extracts are suspended (and why we use different carrier oils for different prodcuts). We even provide complete ingredients listings and, of course, it is why we strive to be affordable.

Summary: There are a lot of wolves in sheep’s clothing out there, but Revive CBD is committed to being different! Be careful if you decide to purchase elsewhere. Continue to educate yourself and remember the red flags that may present themselves.
